True to our name, our packs are designed using many of the same principles one would use to build a good climbing anchor.
Our packs are:
EQUALIZED - Every aspect of the pack is symmetric and designed to distribute the load evenly and spread the load to multiple points.
ANGLE - The lines and shape of the packs are thoughtfully created to be optimal for climbers. Not too wide, not too narrow. All of the attachment points allow the webbing and straps to be pulled in their correct orientation so as to not cause unnecessary stress to the seams.
REDUNDANT - All of the compression straps are removable, replaceable and interchangeable. Each side of the 3 way top compression buckle works independently.
NON-EXTENDING - This one doesn't really apply. :)
SOLID/STRONG - The materials and buckles used are all chosen with strength and long term durability in mind. Buckles with moving/flexing parts are minimized and materials that wear out quickly from use such as elastic, velcro and light mesh are eliminated. All seams are double stitched and quadruple stitched at high tension points. Reinforcements are used strategically in high wear areas.
TIMELY - Our packs are built simply and designed for ease of use. The less time you spend fumbling with your pack, the more time you can be on the move. Our tool stirrups allow you to retrieve your ice tools without removing your pack and our fall away skirt allows you to access your pack's contents quickly and efficiently.

Tool Stirrups
Our tool stirrups are a simple, multi-purpose platform that allow a great deal of freedom in the ways you carry the equipment that doesn't go inside your pack.
Ice tool mounted on the front of the pack in the standard way.
Ice tool mounted on the side. With the flick of a thumb you can reach back and retrieve your tool w/o removing your pack.

Magic X Framesheet
A lightweight, removeable polyethylene framesheet with two contoured aluminum stays in an X formation provide a stable and comfortable platform for whatever you are carrying.
Y-Buckle Top compression system
This system is simply a more stable way to attach a rope (or anything else) to the top of your pack. The 3 way rock lockster buckle is extremely robust and each side operates independently.
Fall-away skirt (Bollard)
Ever struggled to get bulky equipment through the narrow opening of a flimsy skirt at the top of your pack? How about fumbling through a long, dark tunnel of fabric to find something in your pack? Yeah? Me too! That's what inspired the fall-away skirt. The 3/4 round skirt and rear flap fold back and out of the way when you don't need them giving you access to all your stuff and a less stressful way of getting large items inside.
Split Top skirt (chock)
The ends of the skirt overlap allowing for a larger top opening and an exit point for a hydration tube.
Self equalizing Waist belt
The removable 4 point waist belt on our packs creates secure load distribution with minimal material and weight. Each side converges to a single floating buckle that is able to move vertically to achieve a custom fit or move the belt up and out of the way of your harnesses tie-in points if wearing the pack while climbing.
